Prime Minister Ariel Sharon wished Christian leaders in the Holy Land a merry Christmas on Saturday, saying he hopes the new year will bring Israel and the Palestinians peace and security.
"We all need it and I intend to make every effort to reach it," Sharon was quoted as saying in a statement issued by his office.
