Skiier injured on Mt. Hermon helicoptered to Haifa

A man who suffered a head injury while skiing on Mount Hermon and had to be helicoptered to Haifa's Rambam Hospital on Thursday was reported in stable condition. The skier had left the authorized, marked ski trails, Hermon site directors told Israel Radio. Would-be visitors were informed Thursday that the site, which reopened Wednesday after a snowfall of some 80 cm., was operating at full capacity and could not admit any more people.
