Soldiers' families meet Russian security chief

Families of kidnapped IDF soldiers Gilad Schalit, Eldad Regev and Ehud Goldwasser met Tuesday with Russian Security Council head Igor Ivanov in Jerusalem, ahead of his meetings with Palestinian Authority leaders and Lebanese government officials set for the next few days, and urged him to help work towards securing the release of the kidnapped soldiers. Ivanov expressed hope that he would be able to give the families more substantial information during their next meeting, and said that Russian President Vladimir Putin had sent a personal message on the subject to Syria and Iran.
