Special needs education parley to open next week

Beit Issie Shapiro is holding its fourth International Conference on Developmental Disabilities, Policies, Practice and Research next week at the David Intercontinental Hotel in Tel Aviv. The conference, which will bring together professionals in the field of special needs education and welfare from both Israel and abroad, also marks 25 years of activities by Beit Issie Shapiro - a non-profit community organization that provides a range of services for children with developmental disabilities and their families. Among the programs scheduled for the three-day conference (July 4-6) will be panel discussions on subjects including children with special needs in the school system, Jewish special education and sexuality and disability. The majority of the conference's sessions will be held in English.
