The Tel Aviv District Court acceded on Sunday to a petition by Druse activists in the Labor party to block the appointment of Labor MK Ghaleb Majadleh to the cabinet in place of Ophir Paz-Pines.
According to the petitioners, only the Labor central committee, and not party chairman Amir Peretz, can nominate a cabinet minister.
