Tamir considers canceling psychometric exam

Education Minister Yuli Tamir announced on Monday that she would assemble a special team to examine the costs and content of psychometric exams. In a special discussion in the Knesset's Education Committee, Tamir said that she believed that the cost of the test was preventing many people from taking it, and therefore did not enable all levels of the population to be integrated into the academic world. The minister did not reject the possibility of canceling the exam in the future, however she emphasized that it was currently not an option, and that she only promised to examine the subject.
