Three young crash victims laid to rest

Not all were wearing seat belts, police say.

The three minors killed in a traffic accident in the northern West Bank on Wednesday night were not all wearing seat belts at the time of collision, Judea and Samaria Traffic Police said, following an investigation on Thursday.
Two of the boys, 14- year-old Daniel Amram and 13-year-old Niv Nasav, were buried side by side in Netanya in a joint funeral. The third child, Idan Kiffer, 11, was laid to rest at a Pardes Hanna cemetery.

The three were passengers in a truck driven by Kiffer’s father, Amos, who was injured in the collision with a tractor driven by a Palestinian man. The tractor driver was killed.
Hundreds attended the funerals of the three boys, all residents of the settlement of Mevo Dotan.
“These are very difficult hours. They were wonderful children whom everyone knew,” Yael Bar-Dror, spokeswoman of the settlement, said. Bar-Dror said Amos Kiffer had known tragedy in the past.
“He lost two brothers in the army,” she said.
There were several accidents on Thursday. Near Route 5, a bus collided with a truck. The bus driver was killed and 19 passengers were lightly injured in the accident.
On Route 431, between Rishon Lezion and Ramle, a motorist lost control of his vehicle and it flipped over. Rescue services extracted two seriously injured people from the wreckage.
On Thursday night, an Israeli van struck a Palestinian vehicle on Route 437 in the West Bank, nine lightly, one moderately to seriously.
