The treasury will compensate school teachers for the reductions in their salaries between 1999 and 2001 by adding an extra 4.75 percent to their monthly pay and by giving them a one-time grant of 3%, according to arbitration ruling published Tuesday.
The ruling applies to all teachers who are members of the Secondary School Teachers Association and the Teachers Union.
The salary amendments will be effective from August 1.
