Two Winograd members: We objected to publication

Winograd Committee members Professor Ruth Gavison and Maj.-Gen. (res.) Menahem Einan said Thursday that they regretted that the committee hadn't decided to open parts of the testimonies of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Defense Minister Amir Peretz, and IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Dan Halutz to the public. The two said they objected to the protocols being published now, and explained that the High Court of Justice had not granted the committee's request for time to reevaluate the publication of the testimony transcripts after the release of the interim report. Therefore, Gavison and Einan said, the committee had decided to publish the transcripts.
