West Bank: Three passengers steal taxi after ride

Three passengers stole the taxi they were riding in after the driver had driven them from Tel Aviv to an intersection near Ariel in the West Bank at approximately 4:00 a.m. Sunday morning. Judea and Samaria Police said Sunday morning that the driver, a 30-year-old resident of Pardess Hanna, drove the passengers to the Marade Junction near Ariel. When he arrived at the junction, the passengers sprayed him in the face with tear gas. Police believe the stolen taxi was taken to Nablus. Ten days earlier, an attempt was made to murder a taxi driver near Kalkilya in an attempted theft of his vehicle. Judea and Samaria Police emphasized Sunday morning that Israeli citizens should not drive into areas they were not familiar with, adding that it could cost them their lives.
