A woman in her 50s died in a Nahariya hospital on Tuesday, a month after her son attacked her by pouring boiling water on her.
The son was charged with assault, but authorities were working on Tuesday to change the charge to manslaughter.
Police reported that the body of the woman, a Karmiel resident, was sent to the Forensics Institute at Abu Kabir in order to assess the connection between the burns and her death.
