The Ramat Hasharon robotics team won the “Imagery Award” in honor of Jack Kamen in the "First" robotics competition, which focuses on combining visual aesthetics with engineering.
The judges described the team as the winners for their presentation, booth cleanliness, as well as the visual appeal of the robot and its accessories.
Assaf Regev, a teacher at Alon High School, who has been leading the Ramat Hasharon robotics team, said: "This is a rare occurrence in the world of robotics competitions."
“Last year, I have emphasized the need to combine scientific study with the study of the humanities and social sciences, based on the belief that one cannot exist without the other,” he continued. “This combination led the team to new areas of thinking, cooperation and ultimately success.”
