The Pecha Kutcha is back to Tel Aviv port for the 11th time, and this time there will be two rounds in the same evening, allowing more people to experience the performances, displays, music and fun.

1. FILM
THE KING’S SPEECH (UK)
Based on the true story of the relationship between Lionel Logue, an Australian speech therapist (Geoffrey Rush), and Albert, the Duke of York (Colin Firth), who was forced to confront his debilitating stammer in the years leading up to his 1936 coronation as King George VI. Both actors give a masterclass in acting in this historical drama (111 min.) Rated R for language.
At selected cinemas throughout the country.
2. ART
THE LIVING ROOM
Opening night of “Salon 22 – The Home Front,” an installation by Ofer Berezowsky. He exhibits his body of work in a homelike atmosphere, letting you evaluate the artwork in the environment in which it should be hung. Musicians Ofer Tal (Schoolmaster) and Avi Adaki will perform on opening night.

The Pecha Kutcha is back to Tel Aviv port for the 11th time, and this time there will be two rounds in the same evening, allowing more people to experience the performances, displays, music and fun. The Pecha Kutcha, a rare opportunity to showcase current, contemporary performance and avant-garde art in Israel, promises to be even more exciting this year with artists such as Fingaz Broken, Merav Merodi, Ofer Tal and Uri Vertheim, Shay Golan, URBEX Israel, Rutho Modan, Shelly Satat and Eilon Kombur (Couple of), and more.

4. LAND OF THE BIBLE
Meet the heroes and heroines of the Bible in the new exhibition at Jerusalem’s Mamilla Mall. This show is all about the Bible stories and characters: Adam and Eve, Noah, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, Sarah, Leah and Rebekah, Lot and his daughters, and other heroes, seen through the eyes of local and foreign artists. The works, made of stone, bronze and other media, will be shown in the beautiful scenery of Mamilla, bringing new and modern interpretation to the bible stories.
February 8 to end of October, free admission.
5. MUSIC
EILAT DELIGHTS
Israeli-born star pianist Alon Goldstein performs with members of the Israeli Chamber Music Orchestra, at the Classicameri Festival in Eilat. Goldstein performs Mendelssohn’s Piano Concerto No. 1 under Roberto Paternostro in the opening concert of the second weekend of Classicameri festival, a combination of great music and vacation that takes place every winter in Eilat.

6. OH! CAROL
Carolina, one of the most fascinating new local musicians, that together with her band Funset and the lovely Bnot Nehama, had a few of the hottest hits in the past year, will join forces with Geva Alon, a rising star here and abroad in an acoustic concert that promises to be no less than magical.

7. LOVE POTION NUMBER 10
The Israeli Opera continues in its mission to expose kids to the art of opera, this time with Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore, the story of Nemorino, the village boy, and Adina, the landlord’s beautiful daughter of the landlord. Translated by David Sebba, an almost full version of the opera will be performed with costumes in the foyer of the theater, great fun for parents and kids. In Hebrew.

HAPPY DAYS
Lovers of nostalgia will be very pleased with the Vintage Sale. Fifteen leading designers take up to 30 percent off their label prices on vintage-like fashion items such as shoes, bags, accessories and more, with prices ranging from NIS 10 to NIS 500. The winter vintage sale, organized by producers of T-Market and Dress Code, promise to have on display also original items from the 1920s and 1940s.

THE BIRTH OF A CITY
Neveh Tzedek is the first neghborhood built outside the walls of Jaffa in 1887. Over the years it has embraced a significant cultural nature with poets, artists, writers and journalists as its inhabitants.
