Rise in property tax on the horizon in Kfar Saba

The Kfar Saba Municipal Finances Committee has recommended increasing property taxes in the city by 5.57 percent, reports www.local.co.il. Mayor Yehuda Ben Hamo had recommended increasing the tax by 6.57%, but the committee voted in favor of a smaller rise instead. According to the report, the committee met last week to discuss whether and by how much property taxes should be increased. Most committee members supported an increase, although not to the extent that Ben Hamo recommended. The rise must now be approved by the city council before it can go into effect.
