The Water Technology & Environment Control Exhibition & Conference will land on these shores from October 13 to 15, bringing together both local and international business executives, water utility engineers, political decision-makers and leading researchers to foster substantive debate and insights on the key issues facing the world’s water and ecological systems.
Set to take place at the Tel Aviv Fairgrounds, WATEC will provide an opportunity for attendees to hear from and meet leading water, energy and environment companies seeking partnership, investment and professional services; issues of note will include water management, wastewater and water treatment, desalination, water security and drip irrigation.
WATEC Israel 2015 chairman Yossi Ya’acoby promises that the conference will provide a showcase for the most advanced technologies and solutions from the Jewish state and around the world.
“Out of the necessity of contending with difficult and adverse climate and geographical conditions and supported by its entrepreneurial culture, Israel has become a globally unique water solutions hub,” he notes.
The Israeli water market is a highly developed industry, as it’s had years of experience managing water scarcity and drought with limited natural resources.
“One of the most significant challenges in the global water arena is the reduction of pressure on natural water resources, among other resources, caused by rapid population growth, climate change and increased industrial activity,” explains Ya’acoby regarding the importance of the conference.
“It is clear today that advanced technologies are the key to more efficient exploitation of natural resources, including water, soil, energy and materials,” he says, estimating that new technologies and smart water solutions will contribute to the provision of almost two-thirds of the additional water quantities required in future decades.
