Abbas lays cornerstone for Arafat museum in Ramallah

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas on Wednesday put down the cornerstone for a museum documenting the life of his iconic predecessor, Yasser Arafat.
The museum is being built within the walled government compound in Ramallah where Arafat spent his last years under Israeli siege.
The museum will go up next to Arafat's burial site in the compound. Arafat died in a French military hospital on Nov. 11, 2004 after suddenly falling ill.
