Abbas to swear in gov't without Hamas by Wednesday

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said Monday he'd swear in a new government without his Hamas rivals within 48 hours.
But he said he wasn't closing the door on power-sharing talks with the Islamic terrorist group, which controls the Gaza Strip.
Abbas said the PA's current prime minister, Salaam Fayad, would keep his job.
Reconciliation talks between the two factions have deadlocked over Fatah's insistence that Hamas recognize Israel, renounce violence and accept existing agreements with Israel.
The next round of talks is scheduled for Saturday.
