Erekat urges US to press Israel to fulfill road map obligations

Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat on Saturday urged the US to exert pressure on Israel to fulfill its road map obligations.
Erekat made the plea in response to Israel's plan to build 307 new housing units in the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Har Homa.
"If the plan implemented," said Erekat, "it will ruin all the efforts to reach meaningful negotiations to end the Israeli occupation," Army Radio reported.
