Al-Hayat: Lebanon's 'Israeli spy ring' infiltrated Hizbullah

An 'Israeli spy ring' uncovered in Lebanon last week had managed to infiltrate the ranks of Hizbullah, London-based Al-Hayat reported Saturday. According to the report, Lebanese security officials met with Hizbullah officials in recent days and gave them details on the case. As a result, the terror organization has raised its alert level and is attempting to apprehend additional suspects. Three of the suspects in the spy ring were apprehended after being under surveillance for the past 18 months, the paper reported. The chief suspect in the case, retired Lebanese general Adib Alam, allegedly received thousands of dollars for information he and his wife sent to Israel on Syrian and Lebanese military and civilian sites, some of which were bombed by Israel during the Second Lebanon War.
