US President Donald Trump warned that if Iran attempts to restart its nuclear program, then the US will "deal with that too" during a speech at Naval Station Norfolk in Virginia on Sunday.
Trump's remarks came during an event commemorating the 250th anniversary of the US Navy.
During his speech, the president also discussed the government shutdown.
He also boasted about the strength of the US Navy, saying "We are gathered on this storied waterfront to celebrate 250 years of strength, tenacity, and unwavering courage by the greatest fighting force ever to roam the seas - the UNITED STATES NAVY."
"Docked beside us today are a combined 150,000 tons of pure American Naval supremacy - and two colossal reasons why NO ONE should ever want to start a fight with the USA," he added.
US strikes on Venezuelan narcotics
US forces hit another vessel allegedly carrying illegal drugs off the coast of Venezuela on Saturday evening, Trump said, adding that the US would also start looking at drug trafficking occurring on land.
"In recent weeks, the Navy has supported our mission to blow the cartel terrorists the hell out of the water ... we did another one last night. Now we just can't find any," Trump said. "They're not coming in by sea anymore, so now we'll have to start looking about the land because they'll be forced to go by land."
