Economy and Industry Minister Nir Barkat called for Israel to continue Operation Roaring Lion at full force on Sunday, urging Israel not to miss the opportunity to attack Iran.
“Israel conducting beheadings in Iran is a drama that must not be missed," he said.
The remarks came during a Sunday Kol Barama interview, following the joint Israel-US attacks on Iran on Saturday, which prompted Iranian missile retaliation.
“The prime minister, with determination, and by enlisting [US President Donald] Trump, has created a special opportunity to deal a severe blow to the Nazis in Iran. We are determined to continue the war until Iran is defeated,” Barkat said.
He emphasized that Israel must continue the operation without taking a “foot off the gas,” even amid negotiations with the Iranians.
“They need to understand that every day that passes, their situation gets worse. Overthrowing the regime will ensure that all the goals of the war are achieved."
"They are the lifeblood of all the terror in our region, and there is desire and hope that we will succeed in doing this,” he added.
Nir Barkat urges Israeli public to remain calm
The Economy and Industry Minister noted that despite the Iranian attacks, Israel was not lacking any produce and urged the public to remain calm amid the war.
“Supermarket chains are not reporting any shortage of products. We are in contact with both producers and the chains. There is no need to hoard; there is no shortage of food in the State of Israel. The public needs to remain calm,” he said.
