Lebanese political figures opposed to Hezbollah denounced the Iranian-backed Shi’ite organization on Wednesday for its anti-tank missile attack on an Israeli military convoy in the Mt. Dov region. At least IDF soldiers were killed and seven were wounded.
Samir Geagea, a Christian leader and a member of the March 14 coalition opposed to the Iran-Syria-Hezbollah axis, denounced the attack. In remarks reported by The Daily Star, Geagea said that Hezbollah would be held responsible for any Israeli reprisal attacks on Lebanon.

“Today’s development indicates that Hezbollah is more and more expanding its regional schemes against the Lebanese state,” Geagea said.
“Hezbollah has no right to implicate the Lebanese people in a battle with Israel. There is a government and a parliament which can decide on that,” Geagea added
Druze parliamentarian Walid Jumblatt remarked on his Twitter account: “It seems that we have entered a phase of big troubles.”
The Daily Star reported that Lebanese parliament speaker Nabih Berri, a prominent Shi’ite political figure, was in contact with international diplomats in an effort to keep the situation from spinning out of control and descending into war.
