PFLP confirms it won't join Hamas government

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine on Sunday confirmed it will not join the incoming Hamas government. The announcement by the small, radical group had been expected. In a statement, the PFLP cited Hamas' refusal to recognize the PLO as the sole representative of the Palestinian people. Hamas had hoped to bring in the PFLP, which controls three seats in the incoming parliament, into its government. The Islamic group's failure to attract any partners has increased the likelihood that it faces international isolation once it takes office.
