Thousands gathered in the hospital in Rafah overnight Thursday around the body of PRC head Jamal Abu Sahamdana, calling to avenge his death.
A Palestinian Authority Interior Ministry spokesman said that the act was a crime, and that the Palestinians have the right to respond to the attack.
The PRC issued a statement shortly after the air strike, which said that the group would avenge the strike with suicide bombings inside Israel and the launching of Kassam rockets at Israeli targets, Israel Radio reported.
