US Ambassador to Israel Dan Shapiro gave blood at Sourasky Medical Center in Tel Aviv on Monday.The US Embassy in Tel Aviv posted a photo of the envoy having blood drawn .According to the post, Shapiro was one of several US Embassy staff members who donated a total of 78 units of blood to the hospital.The 43-year-old Shapiro has been the US Ambassador to Israel for nearly two years. The fluent Hebrew speaker had been a major point man for the US Jewish community in the White House prior to his appointment.
