Intelligence Agencies Minister Dan Meridor's wife Leora was lightly injured Saturday evening during a car accident on Hameyasdim Street in Jerusalem.
Meridor, who was in the car with her, was not injured, Army Radio reported. His wife was taken to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem for treatment.
Police opened an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
On Tuesday, Deputy Health Minister Yaakov Litzman's driver was arrested after driving the official ministry car into a stone wall on Rehov Chativat in Jerusalem early in the morning.
The deputy health minister was not in the car at the time.
The driver notified police and then fled the scene.
The fact that he left the car "already raised suspicions," said National Police Spokesman Mickey Rosenfeld.
Police searched the car and found remnants of drugs, including Hashish.
The man was arrested at his home and the investigation is continuing. His name has not been released for publication.
