A 25-year-old man was arrested on early Friday morning after a woman filed a complaint with the police saying he raped her.
The suspect, reportedly a relative of one of the suspects linked to the 2009 shooting in the LGBT club Bar Noar, is known to the police.
The woman, who is a lawyer who wanted to join the Bar Noar suspects' defense team, said the man invited her to his apartment in Petah Tikva, where he raped her.
The suspect's attorney said the sexual relations were consensual, and that the woman is accusing him of rape as an act of revenge because the family did not add her to the defense team for the Bar Noar case.
The Petah Tivka Magistrate's Court extended his remand by six days.
