Supermodel sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid are known to be proud of their part-Palestinian roots.
However, the latter did not seem enthused when her stroll with model pal Kendall Jenner was interrupted Wednesday in New York by an apparent fan who bombarded the pair while frantically waving a Palestinian flag.
The 22-year-old woman reportedly accosted the two models and asked Bella to hold the Palestinian flag while they were en route to Gigi Hadid's apartment.
According to celebrity news outlet TMZ, the models' security detail called police who eventually took the woman away in handcuffs, however she was later released without charge.
The Hadid sisters are the daughters of Mohamed Hadid, a prominent Jordanian-American real estate developer of Palestinian origins, and Dutch-America TV personality and former model Yolanda Hadid.
The siblings have shot to stardom in recent years, and became the first set of sisters to strut the catwalk of the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in December.
