Former WWE wrestler, Tammy Lynn Sitch, widely known as "Sunny," has received a hefty 17-year prison sentence from a US court due to her involvement in a car accident resulting in the death of a 75-year-old man.
The 50-year-old "Sunny" crashed her Mercedes on the streets of Florida, leading to her immediate arrest.

During her tenure in the wrestling industry, she had various relationships with senior wrestlers, including Shawn Michaels, despite being in a long-term relationship with fellow wrestler Chris Candido.
In 2011, she was honored with induction into the WWE Hall of Fame. However, over the years, her life spiraled into drugs and crime, culminating in her involvement in a pornographic film in 2016.

"Sunny" had previous run-ins with the law, with four arrests in Pennsylvania between 2015 and 2016. She pleaded guilty to two cases of drunk driving, completing a rehabilitation program as part of her sentence. Despite being initially sentenced to 97 days in jail, she was released without serving any time behind bars. Shortly after, she was arrested for driving without a license and fined $1,500.
The WWE funded her subsequent rehabilitation program, along with 75 hours of community service. She was also arrested for attempting to assault a partner with scissors.
Due to her involvement in the fatal accident while under the influence of alcohol and speeding, the court imposed a harsher sentence.

During the trial, "Sunny" tearfully apologized for her actions, expressing remorse to the victim's family: "I know my words cannot undo the pain. However, please know that I think about you every day," she said while addressing the family, "every second of every day. I will dedicate myself to making the necessary changes to ensure this never happens again. Nobody should have to endure what you are going through, and please believe me when I say that since the accident, I have wished countless times to switch places with him and die in his stead."
