Muslim gunmen kill 2 Christians, wound 1 man in southern Egypt
04/19/2009
An Egyptian security official said on Sunday that Muslim gunmen attacked Christian family members their way to Easter services in southern Egypt, killing two people and wounding one man. The Egyptian authorities arrested two of the gunmen and are still searching for the other two, the official said. The attack took place in Qena province, 470 kilometers south of Cairo. Roman Catholics and Protestants celebrated Easter last week, but Coptic Christians use a different calendar to mark Jesus' resurrection.
