Supreme Court upholds new parole hearing for Danny Katz killers

The Supreme Court on Monday rejected an appeal by the state against a lower court decision regarding a parole request by three of the convicted killers of Haifa teenager Danny Katz. Originally, the parole board rejected the requests of Samir and Fathi Ganame and Tarad Genayem to be let out of jail after serving 20 years of a life sentence which had been commuted to 30 years in jail. The three petitioned against the decision to the Tel Aviv District Court, which accepted the appeal and ordered a new parole board to reconsider the request. On Monday, the Supreme Court rejected an appeal by the state against the district court decision
