Ice Skating: Zaretskys place 6th at Worlds

Israeli ice dance duo Alexandra and Roman Zaretsky achieved their best ever World Championship result at the weekend, finishing sixth overall at the Palavela Stadium in Turin.
The brother and sister duo improved on their 10th place in the Olympics
last month by impressing in the Free Dance, in which they skated to the
soundtrack of Schindler’s List.
Friday’s
performance earned the siblings a season’s best of 91.34 points and
181.26 overall), The lifts, twizzles and combination spin earned the
Zaretskis the highest fourth level of difficulty, and their circular
and diagonal step sequences got Level three.
Meanwhile, Tamar Katz finished the women’s short program in 27th position among 55 participants.
For her routine to the soundtrack from Gone with the Wind she earned a season’s best score of 44.96 points.
