Lawyer indicted for passing information to Islamic Jihad
Israeli-Arab female lawyer Suhir Ayoub allegedly passed information between Islamic Jihad leadership, prisoners in Israeli jails in return for money; additional 3 attorneys arrested on similar charges.
The Jerusalem District Attorney on Wednesday indicted an Israeli-Arab lawyer working in Jerusalem for passing information between the Islamic Jihad leadership and prisoners of the organization held in Israeli jails. Three other Israeli-Arab lawyers were arrested on similar charges.

Forty-two-year-old female lawyer Suhir Ayoub, originally from Acre and among those arrested, has already been indicted while the other three remain under investigation.

Ayoub was indicted for receiving between NIS 400 to 800 from each prisoner for supplying information.

Altogether, the lawyers allegedly received upwards of thousands of shekels from Al Quds, the armed wing of Islamic Jihad.

According to the police report, the four lawyers have admitted to the allegations against them after documents retrieved from their homes during investigations ties them to the charges.
