Meridor: Abbas may fear talks will reveal his lack of power

Intelligence Agencies Minister Dan Meridor on Tuesday blamed Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas for preventing the resumption of peace talks, suggesting that perhaps he feared that he did not have the power to deliver on an agreement.
"Is he afraid that negotiations will reveal that he can't deliver the goods? After all, he doesn't step foot inside of Gaza and he can't get Hamas to give up a single missile," Meridor said in an interview with Army Radio.
