East Jerusalem man indicted on 10 counts of attempted murder
Jerusalem prosecutors on Sunday submitted an indictment to the local district court against Aziz Awisat, a 49-year-old resident of the village of Jabal Mukaber, charging him with 10 counts of attempted murder and aiding the enemy in wartime.

Awisat is accused of attacking a Jewish man with an axe as well as attempting to do damage to a residential building by causing a gas tank explosion.

Prosecutors allege that Awisat slashed nine gas pipelines in residential buildings in hopes of causing an explosion.
