Report: Rice asks Olmert, Abbas aides to meet

US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has asked aides of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and PA President Mahmoud Abbas to sit down together in preparation for a meeting between Olmert and Abbas, Palestinian news agencies reported on Saturday.
According to Army Radio, no officials in Jerusalem have yet confirmed that any Olmert-Abbas meeting is planned.
