Majority of Europeans support Trump-style travel ban, survey shows
The survey asked 10,000 people from 10 European countries about migration policy.
Despite widespread criticism of the recent US travel ban, a poll by a London think tank showed that a majority of Europeans would support a similar move.

In a survey conducted by London-based think tank Chatham House, which released the data on Wednesday,  55% of the Europeans they surveyed agreed with the statement that "all further migration from mainly Muslim countries should be stopped."  Overall, 20% disagreed with the statement.

Looking at the responses in individual countries,  71% of respondents in Poland agreed with the statement, 65% of Austrian respondents agreed, 53% of Germans agreed and 41% agreed in Spain. The think tank noted that "in no country did the percentage that disagreed surpass 32%."

The survey involved 10,000 people  from 10 European countries about migration policy. The questions were asked before US president Donald Trump issued the executive order , which prohibits refugees from entering the United States for 120 days, with an indefinite ban on those fleeing war-torn Syria. Citizens of Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen are barred from entry for 90 days.

In Austria, Poland, Hungary, France and Belgium at least 38%.
