The prime minister met with Israeli-born MMA fighters ahead of a Bellator MMA fight this Thursday.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with Mixed Martial Arts fighters on Tuesday in the Knesset in Jerusalem ahead of a Bellator MMA fight this Thursday night. Those in attendance included Israelis Noad Lahat and Haim Gozali.

Former IDF red beret Lahat, who uses the moniker "Neo", in reference to the film The Matrix, will fight at Menora Mivtachim Arena in Petach Tikva, The Jewish Chronicle reported.

Lahat, wearing his trademark blue hat, emblazoned with a Jewish star and his name, was one of five guests to meet the prime minister.

Gozali posed for pictures in fighting stances with Netanyahu as the two 'sparred' wearing red and blue gloves, respectively.

Lahat and Gozali, with records of 11-3 and 7-4, respectively, co-headline Thurday night's fight, whose preliminary bouts will feature "many of Israel's up-and-coming regional talent," according to a press release.

The fighters were joined by Bellator heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko (36-5, 1 NC) and Bellator brand ambassador Royce Gracie at the Knesset.

Lahat will square off against Jeremiah Labiano (11-5) while Gozali will face Arsen Faitovich (4-1).

Thursday's fight is Bellator's second show in Israel.
