Emergency personnel responded to reports of a collapsed roof at a construction site.
A three-story building collapsed in a Betar Illit, a small city in the Gush Etzion region south of Jerusalem, injuring six people and trapping several people underneath the rubble on Monday.

Emergency personnel responded to reports of a collapsed roof at a construction site.

Magen David Adom medic Netanel Rabi said after arriving at the scene: “There was a mess, and we started pulling out the construction workers from the rubble. I saw that five of them were injured. They were conscious but with injuries.

“The MDA personnel who arrived at the scene treated them and then rushed them to the hospital,” he said.

MDA confirmed one of the workers was lightly to moderately injured and was transferred to the Hadassah University Medical Center in Ein Kerem, while the others were lightly injured.

After the injured workers were evacuated, police and MDA personnel continued to search for people who might have been trapped under the rubble.
