For International Women's Day, MAN Israel has initiated a project to train women to drive trucks and integrate them into the heavy vehicle industry.

The course is free for women.

In Israel, there is a significant shortage of drivers in the heavy vehicles and goods and equipment transportation industry. Every trucking company owner has a hard time finding quality new drivers. At the same time, in recent years, MAN trucks have undergone significant technological improvements and today driving a truck is a pampering and comfortable experience. The trucks have advanced human engineering and groundbreaking safety systems that have won many awards in Europe.

Yogev Gavri, general manager of Man Israel, part of the Automotive Equipment and Automobiles group, said: “Transporting trucks requires precision, patience, technical understanding, and perseverance. All of these characteristics were identified in the pioneering women who enrolled in the first course.”

In the first course, 5 women took part. The course is intended for women looking for a career change, extra income and interesting work.

Simultaneously with this activity, as a salute to the female public in Israel, the company changed the truck logo from MAN to WOMAN for International Women's Day.
