The winners in the December Ga'ash Golf Club Monthly Medal were - "A" Division, Chanoch Reichenberg; "B" Division, Oren Weissman; "C" Division, Gershon Feldman. In order to facilitate a record crowd of nearly 90 golfers in the December Monthly Medal the "C" Division was played on Monday and the "A" and "B" Divisions on Tuesday. It was also the qualifying round of the Individual knock-out tournament to be held over the next few months. Some16 players obtaining the best scores, have qualified and will be divided into the "A" Division (0-17 handicap), and 16 players in the "B" Division (18-36 handicap) to battle it out to see who reaches the final in each division. In the "A" Division, Reichenberg and ex-Beitar Jerusalem soccer player, Gary Vandermolen, both had 70 net scores with Reichenberg taking first on the count-out. Weissman kept his good form from last month and once again won the "B" Division with an excellent score of 67 net. In second place was Morris Portner on 68 net. Feldman won the "C" Division with a net 74. In second place was Roz Brodie with a net 75. On Monday, on hole 4, par 3, 120 meters, Harry Brodie was 3.67 meters from the hole in the Nearest to the Pin competition. On Tuesday the same hole was taken by Colin Lewis with 3.30 meters from the hole. Lewis also came nearest on hole 9, par 3, playing 160 meters, being 3.5 meters away. Ga'ash is now looking forward to holding the finals of the Israeli Net, early in January and its own "Champion of Champions" tournament in mid-January.
