Golf: Hayman and Zehavi take Stableford crowns

Rony Hayman took first place in the "A" Division, while Avinoam Zehavi won the "B" Division, in the "Man, Horse and Nature" tournament held at the Ga'ash Golf Course on Tuesday. The event was sponsored by the organization working towards creating an Olympic park in the Galilee, which will combine the concepts of 'man, horse and nature' by providing a tranquil environment for people from all walks of life, while also assisting the handicapped and infirmed find employment and rehabilitation in the park grounds. The park will feature horseback riding, including therapeutic riding, and cycling. The tournament format was an individual Stableford. In the "A" Division, winner Rony Hayman had 36 Stableford points while runner-up Eddie Hoffman finished with 34 Stableford points. Avinoam Zehavi had 41 Stableford points to take the trophy in the "B" Divison. He was followed by Yaakov Har'oz, who was just one back with 40 points. Nearest to the Pin prizes, sponsored by the Wine Center at Ga'ash, went to Aliza Ofir, Ephraim Katzman and Oren Weissman.
