The 8th Jerusalem Open Taekwondo Championships ended on Sunday without an Israeli gold medal winner. European champion Bat-El Geterer finished second in the under-57 kilogram competition in Pisgat Ze’ev, losing to Anastasia Gurskaya 11-4 in the final.‘Of course I wanted to win the gold, but for me this event is just another preparation tournament for my true goal, which is to reach the Olympics,’ said Geterer. Youth Olympics gold medalist Gili Haimovitz and Erez Aharoni also claimed silver medals on Sunday, with 12 other Israelis taking home a bronze.
