Real Madrid arrives in Israel for 'peace match'

Less than 48 hours after winning the Spanish League title, Real Madrid arrived in Israel on Tuesday to play in a "peace match" against a mixed Israeli-Palestinian team. With the exception of David Beckham and Roberto Carlos, most of Madrid's star players - including captain Raul Gonzalez and Guti - flew into Tel Aviv and will take some part in Wednesday's game at the National Stadium in Ramat Gan. The game is organized by the Peres Center for Peace, headed by Nobel Peace Prize laureate and President-elect Shimon Peres. The center runs a number of Peace Sports Schools in Israel where Israeli and Palestinian children train together.
