Big Apple Pizza claimed top spot in group c in the Moshiko Soccer League stunning Emunah's Hakotel 6-2 last weekend. Hakotel dominated the play but Big Apple took the lead through 2 beautifully taken Israel Gurt strikes. Hakotel deservedly drew level when Zak Peskin and Rafi Kon smartly converted their chances. Hakotel were furious not to be awarded a penalty and Gurt tormented Hakotel's defence and was rewarded with another three securing top spot and a place in the quarter-finals. Moshiko gave themselves a lifeline with a 3-1 victory over FC London. Yossi Heiman gave London a surprise lead coolly slotting home just before half time. An inspirational Avi Grayeff pulled level with a well stuck finish and manof-the-match Alon Blitz gave Moshiko the lead with a thumping strike. Gilad Kestenbaum secured the three points before London stormed off tempers flaring. Cafe Rimon edged JLE 3-1 in a remarkable encounter. In a fast match both keepers produced fine saves to keep the game scoreless. But just like the whole season the deadly duo of Ronny Perel and Ari Kenig were certain to score. And they did just that giving Rimon a 2-0 lead at half time. After the break Jonny Danan and Moish Owen defended well for Rimon and Perel controversially claimed his second. Israel Yanez's penalty too little too late for JLE. Traveldeal Israel cruised to a 3-0 victory over Yesod. An unstoppable Josh Portnoy strike gave Traveldeal the lead. Seth Freedman was outstanding in goal for Traveldeal before Yoel Finchas and Aviad Kaufman made it 3. SA Seniors guaranteed top spot of group b as they came from behind to beat Halo Teiman 2-1. In a tight game Halo Teiman took an early lead but after the break Shua Hochstader led a fierce fightback scoring and Leib Ziskin claiming the winner. Also last weekend it was; UKI 3, Derech 1: GB Team 0, Coronation Street 0: Jewventus 2, Goldenballs 2.
