Hapoel Kfar Saba advanced to the last 16 of the State Cup on Wednesday night by defeating last year's finalist Bnei Yehuda 2-1 in a ninth round match at Bloomfield Stadium. The remaining ninth round fixtures, the first which include Premier League clubs, are scheduled for April 10 and April 18. "Bnei Yehuda is an excellent team and I'm happy my players excelled tonight," Kfar Saba coach Eli Ohana said after the match. "My players were outstanding, scoring two goals and creating many more chances which helped us advance." Hapoel took the lead in the 19th minute after Guillermo Israilevich's quickly taken free kick was lobbed into the box to Samuel Yeboah, who headed the ball past the Bnei Yehuda 'keeper. Eleven minutes before halftime, Yeboah doubled Hapoel's lead and scored his second with a volley from the center of the box. Bnei Yehuda got back into the match against the run of play in the 43rd minute when Lior Asulin headed the ball in from 10 meters. However, the hosts were unable to translate their second half domination into goals.
