Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit has reached a decision to indict Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on corruption charges in Case 4000, according to a report on Channel 12 news Friday evening.
Unnamed sources claimed that Mandelblit will summon Netanyahu in the middle of February to inform the prime minister that he is considering indicting him for corruption.
Netanyahu's legal defense team said that "there is no room for leaks [spread in the hope of] sabotaging the meeting [with Mandelblit] and damage our right for an impartial hearing."
The defense team is set to meet with Mandelblit next week after the latter rejected the team's request to refrain from reaching a decision about the Netanyahu investigations ahead of the April elections.
