Two children, a 5-year-old girl and a 4-year-old boy, were brought to Ichilov Hospital early Tuesday morning after their mother threw them out of the four-story window of their Tel Aviv apartment before attempting to commit suicide by jumping after them.

The woman, a 38-year-old a veteran immigrant from Tajikistan, had been taking care of her children by herself since her husband left Israel and his family in 2007.

The boy and the mother are both listed in serious condition, while the little girl is said to be in moderate condition with mostly broken bones from her fall.
