A six-year-old boy was in serious condition after nearly drowning in the pool of at a hotel along the southern end of Tel Aviv's promenade. The pool's lifeguard pulled the boy from the bottom of the pool and Magen David Adom paramedics evacuated him to Dana-Dwek Children’s Hospital in Tel Aviv.

Police opened an investigation into the incident.
