Ashton says easing of Gaza blockade 'unsatisfactory'

European Union foreign policy chief Catherin Ashton on Monday criticized Israel's easing of the Gaza blockade. She said, "Gaza remains a source of great concern for me," RTT reported.
The representative of all EU foreign ministers, Ashton said Israel's recent easing of the blockade was not enough. She continued, "At the present time, we think that what's happened with Gaza is unsatisfactory, the volume of goods is not increasing as significantly as it needs to," according to RTT.
Ashton added, it "is absolutely essential that the economy is allowed to recover and that people are allowed to invest in their futures," according to the report.
